Appeals Process

At the last AGM, a request was made to assist Delta Beach Citizens to find information  on the appeal process for decisions relating to the Flood programs.

The Government of Manitoba’s website has information on the appeals process, and it can be found by clicking on here.

TIME IS NOT ON YOUR SIDE. You should appeal any written decisions you disagree with  as soon as possible. If in doubt about whether something is “appealable”, we recommend contacting the appeal commission in writing and requesting an opinion. Do so in writing.

For your information, the following is an exert from the Appeal Process information provided on the government on Manitoba’s website. We recommend you go the website for official information, as this information may change:

How Do I Appeal?
You may request an appeal to the Flood 2011: Building and Recovery Action Plan
Appeals Commission after you have received the final settlement from the Flood 2011:
Building and Recovery Action Plan Program Administrator.

You must submit your appeal in writing by registered mail and include the following:

1) Your full name and address,
2) A copy of the final settlement made by the Flood 2011: Building and Recovery
Action Plan Program Administrator that is subject to appeal,
3) A statement of the matter being appealed and why you disagree with it,
4) The results you want.
The specific requirements for an appeal are outlined in the Appeals Commission Rules of
Procedure.

Send your appeals to:
