Manitoba water science and watershed management was out to the public beach on monday to perform their regular monitoring program for e.Coli and algae.
The results were published this morning at https://gov.mb.ca/sd/waterstewardship/quality/beach_table.html
We are, as they say, “golden”!
Also, for those interested, I also checked about the “blue-green” algae bulletin we were asked to post, and the water quality specialist advised she “noted algae present at the time of sampling(Monday). The bloom is primarily composed of a cyanobacteria species called Aphanizomenon. This species does NOT typically produce toxins. Concentrations of algae at the time of sampling was quite low, therefore no sample was collected.”
So good news all around! Enjoy!
